Beyond Borders Project

Beyond the Marches / Dros y Ffin

Revisiting the national folk archives of Wales & England

An upcoming project for early Summer 2015, EFDSS have partnered with Welsh arts organisation trac, to work on a brand new commission that uses 6 artists from England and Wales to create new work from their respective national archives.

Performers

Shows

These performances featuring some of the finest young contemporary folk musicians on the scene will explore and celebrate the shared history and culture of our two nations.

In a unique artistic residential collaboration, they will breathe new life into traditional songs and tunes unearthed from the countries’ national archives. Reflecting a heritage of cultural and musical differences which has transcended borders, weaved together in their own inimitable styles, this alliance will be a rare opportunity to savour a new piece of musical history.

More details to follow.

Beyond the Marches / Dros y Ffin is joint commission by trac and EFDSS, supported by the PRS Foundation.
