Transcription Notes
Sea still very calm and weather cloudy but warmer. Had a nice talk with a Dutchman and a French Canadian neither of whose names I yet know. Also a long confab with a Scotch American Blackston a man with a wonderful head of hair over a well chiselled face. He is a minister & writer of some note & ability. Further talks with Hapgood whom I like, but I keep clear of Hamilton who is too young & too superior for my taste. Run 412 from yesterday to to day noon.
