Transcription Notes
I greeted the New Year in bed being unable to sleep for the pandemonium in the streets. All New York seemed to be blowing tin horns, letting off explosives, rattling etc. Took a rehearsal at 10 at Bryant Hall and got rather tied up with last stanza of Roses!1 They are a gawky lot! Lunched with [Harley Granville] Barker & his wife at my Hotel. Then to Gramercy Park to arrange about room whither I am to move (The Arts Club) on Monday. Had tea with Miss Mira Hall at Manhattan Hotel.Location
