Transcription Notes
Woke in great pain and as soon as some one came near me sent for Mrs Storrow who insisted I should stay in bed — as indeed I could not help but do — while she telephoned for doctor & nurse. Dr Goldthwait sent his assistant one Dr Brown and a Nurse. Dr B. pummelled me mercilessly and wanted me to return & take up my quarters at his private hospital. This I refused to do because of the journey if for nothing else. We were to have gone to N[ew] Y[ork] to Hotel Algonquin but had to postpone everything indefinitely.Location
