Rehearsal at Lyric again. Lunched with Barker & Mrs [Barker] at Knickerbocker Hotel. Discussed situation re Klein whom we decided to dismiss. Interview Carrothers[?] the President of the Music Union & found it impossible to appoint C[ecil] Forsyth or anyone not a member of the Union. Dined with Prof[essor] Farnsworth at Columbia. Returned home in time to finish mail letters by 11. So early to bed a second night!Location
