Left N[ew] Y[ork] by 8.50 train for Pittsfield. Miss Mira Hall met me there on my arrival at 1.30 and took me to the Wendell Hotel wh[ere] I lunched, afterwards going up to her school with M[attie] K[ay]. I taught them Gath[ering] Peascods & Rufty Tufty in the aft[ernoon] after tea, Mr Buelom their music teacher accompanying. Lectured in the evening at 8 without slides. To bed at hotel — a very bad one! — rather late. Very cold . Country under snow.Location
