Throat very rough, voice very hoarse. Walked to Copley Square to Miss Rogers at 9.30 — she not turning up till 10.15! in regular American fashion. Then to F[olk] D[ance] rooms to do exam[inations] for certificates. Lunched at City Club & lectured after. Then taxi’d to [Charles] Peabody 197 Brattle St[reet] Cambridge to coach Baker & co in the Kirkby Malzeard S[word] dance. Peabody motored me back to Club at 6 — very cold drive indeed. Packed & dined at 7.30 & lectured before Harvard Mus[ical] Ass[ociation] at 8.30. Great success. Afterwards motored to Lincoln arriving at midnight.Location
