Was to have begun with the Playground people at 10.30 but they put me off till tomorrow. Mrs Callery returned from Atlantic City unexpectedly this morning and said she would take me for a drive at 12 and lunch with me here. I looked through proofs of ballad book in the meanwhile. Bassage, Mrs Shiras & Geoghehan were here to lunch so we had a nice party, I arguing at great length with Bassage who is a native of Paris & I should say a very interesting man. Then I took a class at the drama school coaching them for dances in Winters Tale they are doing next week. At 6.30 I dined with Miss Sherar the Stevens’ being there & then to the E.F.D.S. room. I made a long speech & showed cinema film they showing the Pittsburgh film. Afterwards danced till late. Home at 11.45 very tired. A most exciting day, but nice to be amongst friends again.Location
