Went off directly after breakfast to the Hensley’s fording the river to avoid the dangerous foot log! Spent the whole day with them, dining with them at 3.30, and sitting in the verandah or walking about near the house all the time. But whatever we did there was singing and fiddling all the time and I got some very interesting stuff. We got back to Alleghany just in time for evening meal.Location
