Left Paddington by the 10.25 a.m. boat train for Falmouth with Joan [Sharp] and Maud [Karpeles] — Dor[othea Sharp] seeing us off. Arrived at F[almouth] at 4.30 in pouring rain; stayed at Falmouth Hotel. My ship the Dutch liner Nieuw Amsterdam still riding at anchor at the Downs!Location
