The lower plate hurting one of my teeth I go again to dentist. When he has put it right he proceeds to finish me off, first scraping tartar from teeth in lower jaw, then polishing them up to look nice — as good as new — and finally stopping the eye tooth in upperjaw. All very unpleasant but not actually painful. It was an immense relief when at the end of it he said there was nothing more to be done! I could hardly believe it. Home to lunch and a rest after. After tea Maud went to see Campbell while I sat in the verandah and put modal indices to my mountain tunes.Location
