To the dentist at 10, to try the new plate. It is not very comfortable but I expect when I get used to it, it will be all right — at any rate better than the old set which is now very loose and uncomfortable. At 10.30 I went to my church room and had another couple of hours at my songs. I finished what I could do at the piano for the present. Miss Dickey came to lunch and stayed till nearly 3.30 evidently rather pleased to have a meal here and see the inner precincts of this much talked about place! She is a queer old maid — wouldn’t come to dinner because she had no escort to bring her here, and it was not the right thing in Asheville for lone maidens to be out after dark unattended! In the afternoon finished off all my songs except one.Location
