Transcription Notes
Went round to station to see Mrs Storrow off to Boston by 10 train. Maud, Lily & Emma went off shopping and I to the doctor who said the analysis of my water convinced him there was nothing really the matter with me — that I was suffering from continuous over-work, which made me liable to fever, which itself was an infection. He said I must go more slowly and realize the ravages of Anno Domini and if I ignored them I should be courting a serious smash up! In the afternoon Maud and I went to Brooklyn Institute and I lectured on Mountain Songs — with fair success, room bad from acoustic p[oint] of view. I was very tired in the evening, far more so than I ought to be, so went to bed fairly early after dining here at the Hotel. Weather very cold indeed, but fine and bright and extraordinarily bracing & healthy.Location
