Breakfast at 8, and then round to 55th street to lecture at Miss Spence’s School at 9.30. This went very well as I had a very intelligent audience — all of them daughters of millionaires, anything but aristocratic in appearance! Maud lunched with Rabold while I entertained Peggy Scovill here at the hotel. She and I had a very pleasant little chat together. In the evening I dined with Richard Aldrich at the Century Club and had a long chat with him afterwards, about my doings & successes in the mountains and also about my forthcoming lecture at R[ussell] S[age] Foundation. I like him but he is very staid & rather stodgy. Home before Maud, who, after dining with Rabold went to a "slick Movie" with Charlotte Foss.Location
