Letters in the morning and then after packing flannels etc to Plum Pudding shop to lunch with Rabold and Charlotte Foss. We four caught 2 train for Pough Keepsie N[ew] Y[ork] where a motor met us and carried us to the Bennett School Millbrook — 12 miles. This is a splendid place and we were received in a very friendly & nice way. We rehearsed Country dances with Reckitt, the domestic English musician here and then after dinner I lectured on English Folk Dance showing Morris Jigs and 6 English C[ountry] Dances. Great success, nice room, excellent floor, and enthusiastic audience. We motored back to station, caught 10.4 train which however was woefully late and got home at 2 a.m. pretty tired. My right eye alas is playing up badly and I am afraid I have trouble brewing there. I hope not!Location
