My eye is very painful and it has ulcerated slightly. I feel very depressed — which is part of the disease. I go to Schirmer’s at 10 a.m. and play my folk songs to Sonneck and Schindler and afterwards discuss terms, royalties etc. They offer me 10% on American sales and 2d in the shilling on English.1 In the evening I send them a letter embodying the results of our conversation and stick out for a higher royalty. Bradley called in the afternoon — he is to lunch with us tomorrow. Maud and I dined at Plum Pudding place and spent evening making out lists for invitation to my lecture on the 23rd. The Glenns, Mrs Rice and Miss Moore are doing much to help me.Location
