Transcription Notes
After breakfast started to draft my introduction to the ballad book I am publishing and wrote several letters and cleared up my desk generally. After tea — we had lunch at home — I wrote a letter to Bradley which he can show to other people about the Yale University scheme and then Maud & I practised some songs for our lecture on Friday. In the evening we walked to Park Avenue Hotel to meet Rabold & Madewell. We four had a nice little dinner then adjourned to Rabold’s room where I played my new accompaniments and R sang many of my Somerset songs. We discussed all & sundry — mainly on musical matters - & broke up about 11.30 all I think the better for a really nice evening.Location
