Maud seedy and I breakfast alone. Made her some tea afterwards and then went round to see Putnam about Schirmer contract and to arrange with him about English rights — or Putnam’s interest in them. Then to Gray to settle about sheets of Flamborough & Bacca Pipes. Decide to do former but to dispense with latter as impracticable. I then bought a pair of goggles to protect my eyes from wind and went to see Glenn & Miss Moore. Told former about Yale press, Bradley etc. He thought the scheme a good one and hoped it might all come off — maintenance fund & all. Lunched at Century Club and found myself between 1-hand Chapman whom I met at Aldrich dinner in the Spring & Arthur Whiting. Interesting talk with both. Rested & interviewed Miss Beiderhaze at 5, took rehearsal of Running Set at 5.30, danced myself because Fisher drafted into army. Maud & I dined Mr & Mrs Meredith. A pretty busy day.Location
