Maud still rather bad so persuade her to keep her bed. Make her some tea. Charlotte Foss then calls, brings her some beautiful flowers and stays with her till after lunch. I write a few duty letters then go out to lunch at Century Club — do not meet anyone I know — come home for a rest. Maud insists on getting up and after tea comes to rehearsal at Gilman Studio for the Allied Bazaar affair on Tuesday & Wed[nesday] next. Miss Baver[?], O’Keefe & Madeleine Smith turn up half an hour late with no shoes & retire without practising. We have a rather poor rehearsal and I shall be glad when we are through with this business. The Gilmans, Meredith & Gowing dine with us at Peg Woffington. Soon after getting back we go to bed. Weather still warm but looks like changing.Location
