Breakfast fairly early. Settled up things & caught 10 train for Boston. I got off at New Haven to meet Bradley while Maud went straight on. I shall never forget the wind, strong & cutting, regular Boston blast! We lunched and talked at length and then I caught 3 train back. Of course it was very late and I didn’t get in till 7.45, still very cold as carriages only half-heated. Mrs Storrow & Maud met me. We motored to Beacon Street and dined. Mrs S well but a very poor report about lectures — I am afraid I shall have a very small contingent to talk to. Mrs S motored us to our hotel the Bellevue in bitter weather. I was awfully tired — quite done up, as a matter of fact — and glad to be at the end of my long journey. Hotel fair but not very comfortable rooms. Try & get better ones tomorrow.Location
