Began the Running Set after breakfast but could not make much of it. The first part of it will be very difficult. However, I did something. Also wrote to Constance. Mrs Gibbs lunched with us and promised to try & work the Running Set. I took all three classes myself at the University as Maud was away at a School. I got through all right and did not get so tired as I expected. Directly afterwards I went to the Author’s[?] Club and talked about mountain songs for 20 minutes or so. Then home. We had dinner here at the hotel and it was not very nice. A quiet evening when I wrote to Tolman, Baskervill and Gummere, asking first and last to put in a good word for me at Washington if they had a chance and conscience permitted!Location
