Transcription Notes
Worked all the morning at my book, and then Rabold turned up at 12.30 and we went out to lunch at usual place and entertained Henry F. Gilbert the musician. He is a curious sort of fellow, not very attractive, rather unkempt dirty and apparently bibulous. But he talked well and is of course a very good musician. Maud went on with Rabold to buy me a tie for Saturday and to get my watch from the watchmaker while I went to Mrs Storrow to meet Miss Hewitt and give her a lesson. Returned at 6 and prepared for dinner at Univer[sity?] Club with Charles Peabody. Met Miss Sophie Hart a Wellesley Professor now enjoying her sabbatical year — rather liked her though she seemed at first very stiff and school-marmish! Then to C[ountry[ D[ance] Party of Boston Centre which I controlled[?] and at which we did the Running Set fairly well. Home about 10.45, very tired.Location
