Soon after breakfast, after working at my book, went round to Mrs Storrows where I again met Miss Hewitt and gave her a lesson. Stayed to lunch with Mrs Storrow but saw very little of her as she had guests, Mrs Osburne and her husband a Lieut[enant] in the army. Went on to University where I took my classes as usual. We finished up at 5 p.m. with the Running Set done for Mrs Storrow special benefit. Back home again for a half hour’s rest and then went off to Adams House to entertain Kittredge at dinner — a very jolly but expensive evening, costing me 8 dollars and a half! What a country this is for getting rid of one’s money! Came home at 10 p.m. glad to get to bed fairly early.Location
