Got along rather better at my book in the morning and wrote on pretty steadily till one o’clock. Then went out to lunch at P[lum] P[udding] shop having asked Norah Jervis to meet us there. Not a very exciting talk but pleasant enough for all that. After a short rest had a cup of tea & went round to Gilman Studio at 4. We did some show dances to the class and I afterwards taught them one or two. Miss Kilborn sang some of my songs and carols. The Gilmans & Charlotte dined with us at Peg Woffington’s and then Maud & I went on to Rabold’s party — the Bingham’s Madewell Ferriere[?] etc. Quite a nice evening, much singing etc and quite of the best, but all folk-music. Miss Kilborn again sang quite a lot of songs. She has improved very much but I am not very fond of her voice and her vowel sounds are horrible at times. Got home shortly before midnight.Location
