More or less a duplicate of yesterday. Got through the school all right with rather less strain than yesterday. Lunched at the Glenn’s, Miss Burns, Mr G’s sister entertaining us. Home to tea rested for an hour — went fast asleep — then to 7 Candles in 46th St[reet] to entertain Peggy Scovill at dinner. She returned with us and I afterwards saw her home to the Biltmore. Gave her Miss Daking’s second letter to read. She is inclined to help us in the matter of sending swords to France but thinks it may be a means of interesting Mrs Scovill in the movement and is therefore going to ask her to pay for the swords.1 Peggy is really an interesting person. Very backward in her development owing to the systematic repression on the part of her mother, but naturally rather keen witted. For the first time in her life getting some enjoyment out of life. Very keen about our movement. I like her.Location
