Transcription Notes
Terribly cold and having had no rest on Sunday we decide to stop at home to day, write letters and get our books up to date. Mr Wray lights a fire for us in one of the spare rooms and we spend all day there. I first wrote a long letter to Mr Vaughan Williams explaining my position with regard to the E. F.D.S.and the Education Dep[artment] and my plans out here for the winter. Then set to work on my books. Take my camera to Jeweller to be patched up and take M[orning] Post article to Lewis Editor of the Burnsville paper to set up for me and order 200 copies. Also send off films to Meyrowtiz. After tea correct proof and write at my tunes till dinner not quite finishing them even by then. I had nearly 30 to write out — the fruits of Saturday’s & Sunday’s collecting. I have now taken down well over 500 tunes this year which is about as many as I expected to do. This cold weather is very trying especially as we have no warm clothes with us. But it is fine & may soon get warm again.Location
