We are both rather nervous about the Influenza epidemic, more particularly because we both have mild colds. Dentist again at 10, tentatively fitted wax model for me and gave Maud a long dose but finished her off! We did more shopping — bought a paint box for Rush and sent off that & the match box to Burnsville. We then bought a beautiful couch spread for the Gilman’s at the Allanstand Industries place & sent it off. I got another collar and a Waterman pen with which I am now writing — having lost my other fine pen on the journey from Burnsville. On our return Maud tried on dresses & a coat at the dress-shop in the hotel & decided upon a blue serge dress — very nice! Weather very cold and the large hall very draughty at nights. Have made friends with the Danville people and this afternoon Mr Clark went through my photos and advised me concerning them. He is a first rate photographer and he gave me some rather good tips.Location
