There is certainly no need to go to the theatre or the movies for excitement — the world’s doings supply all that the most voracious emotional appetite could demand! To day we hear the Crown Prince was assassinated by his own soldiers who were escorting him to Holland — a just reward, if true. The Swedish & Holland thrones totter. Even Switzerland is threatened with a general strike. Will anything happen in England. God knows there are grievances enough there to warrant an uprising — if that were the only way of removing them. And those who have suffered under them during the last generations might well be excused for thinking that was the only way! We walked out again with the sun shining and did some shopping in the morning. Classes in the afternoon, Maud doing a jig. We are to give morris lessons for the last 3 evenings of this week and I am to lecture at the Normal College on Friday morning. Wrote letters to Hartman, Child (Victrola) Gardner (Gramophone), Steele and Bertha Young.Location
