Stayed at home in the morning reading — not even writing — as I was feeling pretty tired. The Detroit news people interviewed me for a half hour or more! Then after lunching at the Caffeteria — a great institution — walked round[?] to "The Jews House" and took recreation class afterwards walking to Chamber of Commerce for the two Ed[ucation] classes. We had tea between the two classes at rather a nice place. All the classes are going very well and I hope we may get some of them through their C[ountry] D[ance] certificate exams. Still raining hard and we were glad when we got home at 5.45. Had a rest and then dined downstairs and had a very good meal — rather expensive but as we breakfasted in our rooms and lunch cost less than a dollar between us and we have worked very hard we felt we might launch out a little! Did nothing afterwards but talk to Maud & read the wonderful news in the N[ew] Y[ork] Times.Location
