Walked up Woodward Avenue at 9.10 to Miss Liggett’s school and started inspection work there at 9.30. Found children of higher grades very crude & clumsy in their movements and quite incapable of any personal control or restraint. Maud who took the sword-class at 9.30 joined me at 11 and helped me with the lower grades which were more interesting because less harmed by bad educational methods. Left at 12.30 and just had time to get some lunch at Caffeteria and start the Rec[reation] class at 1.30. Had a half hour for tea then Ed[ucation] classes from 3.30-6. Very tired when we got back to the Statler. Found a long & interesting letter from Lady Mary [Trefusis] while Maud had one from Helen [Kennedy]. We dined in comfort but at huge expense in the hotel and then I wrote letters to Lady Mary, the Columbia Gramophone Co., & Algonquin. Only 2 more days of regular classes, thank Heaven! I am getting very tired and am not sleeping over well. Weather cold & dull though no actual raining to day.Location
