Began again with Sword Dance class at 9.30 finishing Flamborough and starting Kirkby Malzeard. At 10.30 took the last C[ountry] D[ance] class with Recreation people. Maud took singing games at 11.30 for those of all our classes who are in for their certificates while I went back to hotel, changed my clothes etc and got ready for Miss Perrin who has asked us to lunch here to meet Dr Chadsey the School Inspector of Detroit. Had a very pleasant talk with him and afterwards walked round to the hall with him. He stayed while we taught the 2 sets of Educational people from 2-4. At 4 we had an exam of eleven all of whom passed and easily passed. Got home to the hotel about 5.15 terribly tired after a heavy day following a late night. Had tea and a rest then dined quietly and alas!, very expensively downstairs. Did nothing afterwards but laze and talk till early bed-time. To our delight we see in the papers that the restrictions concerning women returning to England have been relaxed, so that Maud ought now to have no difficulty in getting her passport.Location
