Transcription Notes
Soon after breakfast we went out shopping to Abercrombie & Fitch etc but so far as I was concerned I could find no tea-pot nor anything that tempted me until later in the morning I found a nice little clock which should do for one of the girls. It looks as though Constance will have to wait for her tea-pot till I get to England. Had a long interview with Gray but he had no statement ready for me but hoped he could give it to me on Monday. We lunched at the Algonquin and I rested afterwards having the beginnings of a headache. Rabold came to tea and we discussed E.F.D.S. matters till it was time to walk round to the Gilmans to dinner. And there we spent a very nice time of it talking & laughing and they insisted on our promising to dine with them again tomorrow. We feel leaving them & Rabold more than anyone else here. We have in the course of the last few years become very intimate with them and they certainly have taken on and assimilated the dances as no one else in this country has done. I have very few scalps on my belt.Location
