‘Next Steps in English country dancing’ will be a fortnightly class for the connoisseur of English social folk dance.
Beginning on Monday 24 September, these classes are aimed at those who have gained a broad experience of English country dances and wish to improve their knowledge and skills.
Classes will focus on dance technique and quality, along with more complex dances which will aim to challenge and extend the range of figures and repertoire known.
About the class tutor
Mary Panton is well known as a caller of English ceilidhs. She draws from many styles such as English Country Dance, English and Scottish Ceilidh, Pat Shaw Dances, Reeling and Contra. Over the past 40 years Mary has called across the UK with some of the best dance bands in the country.
Class prices:
The course will run on a termly basis. Participants are required to book for a full term to allow development and progression.
