We want the whole family to enjoy their trip to Cecil Sharp House, and have prepared the following information to help you plan your visit.
Facilities for Families
- You’ll find baby changing facilities and accessible toilets on the ground floor and on the basement level.
- Our building has step-free access to all floors, making it fully accessible for buggies. Our lift can be accessed from the car park outside, on the Gloucester Avenue side of the building.
- We have lockers available on the ground floor and basement.
- During family performances or events we have a buggy park in the reception area. We recommend you keep any valuables with you, or in a locker. Outside of family performances, please talk to a member of Front of House for assistance.

Performances and events
For most seated, non-family specific performances, children under 18 months are considered ‘babes in arms’. They won’t need a ticket or be allocated a seat, as they can sit on the lap of their parent or guardian.
Garden
We have a lovely, openly accessible garden that families are welcome to use. Please ensure that children are supervised when using this space.
Breastfeeding friendly
We welcome breastfeeding mothers at Cecil Sharp House. Babies can be breastfed anywhere in our venue.
Parties
Are you looking for a fun and family-friendly venue for that special birthday this year? At Cecil Sharp House we can offer a variety of spaces to suit the style and size of your party.
Nearby attractions
Dropping an older sibling off at one of our holiday courses, youth ensembles or youth ceilidhs and wondering what’s on nearby to keep siblings entertained? We are 5-10 minutes’ walk from Gloucester Gate playground in Regent’s Park, ZSL London Zoo, Primrose Hill park and playground, and numerous shops, cafés and market stalls on offer around Camden Market.
