Acclaimed folk musician and songwriter Jim Causley leads a traditional wassail ceremony amongst the apple trees in Cecil Sharp House’s walled garden singing to the trees to promote a good harvest for the coming year, followed by a music and singing session in the cosy basement room.
Jim Causley grew up in a wassailing village not far from Sidmouth Folk Festival and sang with Wren Music before heading to Newcastle University to study on their brand new degree course in Folk & Traditional Music, since then he has won many awards for his music.
Doors open at 7pm, on-stage at 7.30pm.
