Folk Music Starting Points
This film series is for young musicians and their music teachers and leaders. Pitched at young musicians who play any instrument, the resource is suitable for people new to folk and experienced folk musicians who wish to re-cap folk specific techniques.
Exploring English Folk Music
This resource introduces secondary school students to folk music through an interactive performance by renowned folk musicians Sam Sweeney and Rob Harbron with National Youth Folk Ensemble alumni musicians.
Folk and Traditional Music
This resource comprises an interactive performance by the National Youth Folk Ensemble 2018/19 and acclaimed folk band Leveret, with an accompanying learning resource for teachers to use at Key Stages 2-4.
Tunes and Groove in Folk and Bhangra
Films to give inspiration for brand new instrumental arrangements of an 18th century traditional Kentish jig and a modern bhangra tune
