Swords and Stars: Rapper Sword Dance for Primary Schools

Rapper sword dance is from North East England, originating in the region’s mining communities. Five dancers are linked by Rapper swords – short, flexible metal strips with wooden handles on both ends.

- There is a set of Rapper tunes played at medium speed, and the same set of tunes recorded at full speed.
- There are also audio recordings of tunes played to help the ‘stepping’ activity within the resource pack.
