This song is part of the larger ‘In Our Own Words’ resource based on The Full English Extra project with the National Coal Mining Museum for England and the Wakefield Music Education Hub. It was used in a project working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils.
This song was written by Bryony Griffith, with Year 6 pupils from All Saints Junior and Infant School, Featherstone.
The subject and lyrics for this song were inspired by all the different objects and tools at the National Coal Mining Museum for England, and in particular an exhibition called 'In Our Own Words' about specialist mining and dialect words.
